Tamiya presents an updated new edition of the model 24014 Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo in 1:24 scale with new Cartograf decals, updated assembly instructions and packaging.

The German Racing Championship (DRM) comprised two classes with displacements of 2,000 cm³ and more and under 2,000 cm³. The Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo was a vehicle that challenged the BMW 320 Turbo. It made its debut at the eighth DRM round in Hockenheim in the summer of 1978 and was characterized by an extremely low front end, a wide body and eye-catching red and yellow markings on a black background.

This car regularly raced in the leading group and took its first victory in the spring race at the Nürburgring in October 1978. The following year, it finished second in the first DRM race in Zolder and won the second race in Hockenheim.

Tamiya is delighted to announce an updated re-issue of Item 24014 1/24 Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo (originally sold in 1979: motorized at that time) with new Cartograf decals, updated instruction manual and packaging.

This car regularly fought in the leading group and achieved victory for the first time at the spring race in Nürburgring in October 1978, and the next year, it got second position at the first race of the DRM in Zolder and victory at the second race in Hockenheim.
