Tamiya presents an updated reissue of the Nissan Leopard 2-Door Hardtop 280X･SF-L (originally released in 1981; at that time as a motorized model), featuring revised decals and updated assembly instructions. In September 1980, Nissan introduced the Leopard, with the 280X SF-L serving as the top-of-the-line model in the Leopard lineup. The body of the two-door hardtop was characterized by flush transitions between the windows and the body panels. A 2,800 cm³ DOHC inline-six-cylinder engine delivered 145 PS. The luxurious interior featured leather seats and technological innovations—such as an on-board computer—that attracted considerable attention at the time. This vehicle is considered a pioneer of Japanese “Personal Luxury Cars.”
